Stageplays

Stand & Clap

Synopsis: Adrian “Hoops” Schilling is a giant among women’s college basketball coaches. Multiple national championships. Hall-Of-Fame credentials. And now, 1,000 wins to cap her illustrious career. Casey Ohver watches from a distance as Schilling basks in her glory, all the while harboring a secret that could unravel everything. Ohver claims that she was sexually abused by Schilling’s assistant coach for years and decides to go public with the help of cub reporter Jamie Warheld. Overnight, reputations are ruined, battle lines are drawn, and assumptions hang over everything. Both sides tell a different story about what happened, but in the court of public opinion, does it matter which one is right? Does it even matter if the allegations are true?
